Cleanser

Wash your face thoroughly with a gentle cleanser, once or twice a day, depending on your skin type.(if oily, twice a day. Once a day will do for dry skin.) Never sleep with your makeup on(but you knew that!)

Exfoliator

Exfoliation can make the difference between okay and out-of- this- world skin, and it becomes even more important as you get older. Whether you use a glycolic acid cream, a retinoid, or a simple scrub, you’re sloughing off the dead skin cells that pile up on the skin’s surface, which not only makes your skin feel better, it also enables moisturizer to penetrate better. Perhaps you have more time in the evening to exfoliate, but do it several times a week after washing your face (less frequently if your skin is very dry and sensitive).

Moisturiser

Moisturizers contain emollients- occlusive ingredients that seal moisture into your skin- and humectants, which attract moisture. All skin types benefit from a moisturizer, unless you have severe acne. If you need proof, notice how much softer it feels after you moisturize. Your skin will benefit most from a product that is compatible with your skin type: Dry skin loves a heavier cream, and oily skin needs an oil-free lotion or gel.

Sunscreen

Use sun protection on your face everyday, even when the sun doesn’t shine. Choose an SPF 15 sunscreen that contains titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, Parsol 1789(avobenzene) listed as an active ingredient. For everyday, choose a moisturizer, foundation, or tinted moisturizer with SPF 15.

Eye cream

An eye cream is a worthwhile indulgence. The skin beneath your eye has no fatty layer, few oil glands, and not much support structure, which is why it wrinkles so easily and need special care. Pat your eye cream on the under eye area lightly with your fourth finger, which exerts the least amount of pressure. If your skin is oily, look for a gel formulation; otherwise, a silky-smooth, pearly cream is quite nice.
